You will be pleased to know we have over 30 years of experience in portrait and wedding photography in the Tidewater area. We have operated Bob Swanson Photography  since 1980. We are members of Professional Photographers of America and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International. . Our clients value great photography and our business is to create extraordinary images. We are first and foremost storytellers, be it a wedding or a portrait.  We were one of the first local photographers to switch to digital.  Would you trust your photographic needs to anyone with less experience?  With all of this experience we remain reasonably priced.  Experience, reasonable rates and also great results.

Weddings

Our style of wedding photography records your images as they happen. Our approach is unobtrusive and fun. We shoot a more documentary style, while understanding the importance of formal group images of family and special friends. We prefer for the natural flow of the wedding to take place without interruption. The formal portraits are taken before or after the ceremony in a minimal amount of time so everyone can focus on the celebration of the day. Albums are available either within our packages or as a separate purchase . Our Budget packages start at $750.00.  Our Full packages start at $2295.00.  We customize our coverage to suit your wedding dreams, as every wedding is unique and special. If you need to work within a certain budget, but like some of the options we offer, there is always the choice of creating your own collection. We can offer special collections for smaller weddings, weddings requiring less time and most weekdays. Special Events

We enjoy setting up our portable studio to photograph couples and groups at events such as  Reunions, Military Balls, Holiday parties, Corporate events, etc. and offer a variety of packages to chose from.
